چکیده

Memory and global interconnect dominate the cost, power and performance of Embedded System on Chip (SOC) architectures. We contend that most of the architectural innovations being pursued today do not directly address these challenges. Move Logic Not Data is a scalable architectural concept where the movement of data is minimal. The logic that transforms/creates data is instead brought to the data. This is implemented with the help of Networks on Chip (NOC) which allows us to create seamless portioning of memory and logic resources. Two additional innovations, further improve the efficacy of this fundamental innovation: Reduce the code size. Movement of code also costs in terms of energy and latency. We propose using ultra complex algorithmic size instructions in the form of reconfigurable logic. Conceptual arguments and architecture that would implement these innovations are presented backed by theoretical analysis of their impact. Research challenges are identified that would need to be overcome to implement the proposed architecture.

Engineering the Presentation Layer for Semantic Web Information Systems

This paper presents a design methodology that deals with the presentation aspects involved in the development of a Semantic Web Information System. The methodology is driven by two main design models: the conceptual model and the application model. The application model extends the conceptual model with presentation abstractions that capture the application logic. During the presentation genera...

Extending the Qualitative Trajectory Calculus Based on the Concept of Accessibility of Moving Objects in the Paths

Qualitative spatial representation and reasoning are among the important capabilities in intelligent geospatial information system development. Although a large contribution to the study of moving objects has been attributed to the quantitative use and analysis of data, such calculations are ineffective when there is little inaccurate data on position and geometry or when explicitly explaining ...

Coverage Improvement In Wireless Sensor Networks Based On Fuzzy-Logic And Genetic Algorithm

Wireless sensor networks have been widely considered as one of the most important 21th century technologies and are used in so many applications such as environmental monitoring, security and surveillance. Wireless sensor networks are used when it is not possible or convenient to supply signaling or power supply wires to a wireless sensor node. The wireless sensor node must be battery powered.C...

Conceptual Graphs: An Overview, Software and Issues

Conceptual graphs are similar to entity-relationship diagrams. They are however a visual, advanced knowledge-based representation formalism based upon much richer philosophical, psychological, linguistic, and object-oriented principles. Although there is much interesting and ongoing work in the conceptual graphs arena, there is little of an introductory nature for newcomers to conceptual graphs...

An Executive Approach Based On the Production of Fuzzy Ontology Using the Semantic Web Rule Language Method (SWRL)

Today, the need to deal with ambiguous information in semantic web languages is increasing. Ontology is an important part of the W3C standards for the semantic web, used to define a conceptual standard vocabulary for the exchange of data between systems, the provision of reusable databases, and the facilitation of collaboration across multiple systems. However, classical ontology is not enough ...
